The Centre for Studies in Geopolitics and Foreign Affairs (CENEGRI) was created in May 2004 in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as a nonpartisan and non-profit organization by Charles Pennaforte. Its objective is to bring together researchers, professors, students, and individuals interested in the themes of Geopolitics and International Relations.
Over two decades of existence, CENEGRI has solidified its position as one of the leading independent Brazilian think tanks, advocating for a Brazilian and Latin American perspective on international relations.
The Intellector Journal (E-ISSN 1807-1260 and ISSN 1808-0529), established in conjunction with CENEGRI, has also stood out over the last two decades as one of the primary journals in Geopolitics and International Relations. It has been consistently published without interruption and external funding, demonstrating a noteworthy level of independence. The journal is indexed in major national and international repositories, holding an A3 stratum in the last Qualis assessment (Brazil).
