CENEGRI’s Mission
CENEGRI’s mission is to produce and disseminate high‑quality knowledge in geopolitics, international relations, and foreign policy, contributing to the development of a broader, more critical, and well‑grounded understanding of the transformations of the international system and their effects on Brazil.
As an independent and nonpartisan institution, CENEGRI operates without ties to party‑political interests, safeguarding its intellectual autonomy and its commitment to analytical pluralism. Since 2004, the Centre has been dedicated to promoting serious research, well‑qualified public debate, and strategic reflection on the major issues on the international agenda.
CENEGRI fulfils its mission through three main pillars. The first is research and analysis, involving the production of articles, reports, books, and specialized debates on geopolitics and foreign policy. The second is publishing and dissemination, through the Intellector Journal, the institutional website, and analytical publications such as policy briefs. The third is training and engagement, through programmes, courses, partnerships, and initiatives aimed at developing new generations of scholars and professionals in the field.
In pursuing this mission, CENEGRI reaffirms its purpose of being a reference point in the production of strategic knowledge in Brazil, helping diverse audiences to interpret, in greater depth, the international processes that shape political, economic, and institutional choices in the country and around the world.
